Support Youth Riders: Local Charity Calls for Community Backing Through Co-op and Tesco Initiatives
A local charity dedicated to empowering and supporting young people who use the skate parks in Ringwood and Verwood is calling on the community for support this year as it takes part in two major funding initiatives.
Youth Riders, a charity committed to providing opportunities for young people to develop confidence, life skills, and wellbeing, has been selected as a Co-op Community Cause for 2026. This means Co-op members can choose to support Youth Riders, helping to fund essential programs and events that make a meaningful difference in young lives.
In addition, Youth Riders is currently participating in the Tesco Stronger Starts Blue Token scheme. Shoppers can vote for the charity in-store by placing their blue tokens into the Youth Riders slot, helping secure funding for projects that expand access to scootering and more learning experiences.
You can vote for Youth Riders at the following Tesco stores:
- Ferndown Superstore
- West Moors Express
- Poulner Express
- Verwood Express
- Glenmoor Road Bournemouth Express
“These initiatives are an incredible opportunity for us,” said Charly Keith from Youth Riders. “Every vote and every Co-op member selection directly supports young people in our community, particularly those who may not otherwise have access to these experiences.”
Youth Riders works with children and young people from diverse backgrounds, including those facing social, emotional, or economic challenges. Through structured sessions and competitions, participants build resilience, responsibility, and self-esteem.
How You Can Help:
- If you are a Co-op member, select Youth Riders as your chosen Community Cause (Cause ID 94848).
- When shopping at Tesco, use your blue tokens to vote for Youth Riders.
- Spread the word to friends, family, and colleagues.
Community support is crucial in ensuring the continuation and growth of these impactful programs. Every contribution, no matter how small, helps Youth Riders create lasting change.
